Doctorate - 2017:
Performed by Paul Hung, (flute) and Aidan Wong, (clarinet). The final piece of a group of three for flute and clarinet. Each piece explores a different musical idea. The first piece develops a rocking, arpeggiating idea. The second piece explores how time effects space and how minute harmonic shifts can drastically change the tone of the notes. The final piece uses two melodic lines of differing lengths repeating over and over.
